Dr. Lekshmi Nair

Dr. Lekshmi Nair is Head of Economics and Statistics at the International Rubber Study Group (IRSG) based in Singapore. She holds a PhD in Economics from the University of London, UK. Dr Nair has extensive experience in commodity research and in the rubber industry. Prior to joining IRSG, Dr Nair has research and academic association with the University of London, the Australian National University, Canberra and with the Commerce and Industry Ministry of India. Dr Nair is responsible for regular publications of the IRSG Secretariat, coordinating the pilot phase of the Sustainable Natural Initiative and organizing rubber workshops/seminars of the Secretariat across regions. She represents IRSG in various international conferences, commodity dialogues and ISO/TC 45 meetings.
